Backgarden Van Bleiswijkstraat The Hague

Special about this garden is that it mainly extends behind other gardens and has no straight property boundaries, except from an old brick garden wall on the northeast side. The garden was neleglected and somber, with a large amount of mature Conifers. The design is based o the atmosphere of the dunes: a light garden with meandering paths of Gravier d’Or, around raised plantbeds (‘dunes’), partly with dune planting, wheathered beach poles, a wooden deck terrace and a swing. A small greenhouse stands against the old brick wall, with fruit trees and edible climbers on either side.  The result is a peaceful, surprising garden perfect for wandering, where you can enjoy different views from various seating areas.
