Patio Canadian Embassy The Hague

The patio of the Canadian Embassy has been transformed from a space entirely paved with concrete bricks into a green and varied courtyard. The design is clean and graphic, with the planting providing softness. A large pergola covered with climbing plants is the eye-catcher.  Cortensteel planters, with Japanese Acers and ornamental grasses, a wooden deck and a paving of Gravier d’Or all create a warm atmosphere. Large concrete tiles and strips in the Gravier d’Or mark the routes. It is a pleasant place, where guests can be welcomed, receptions can be held and where employees can work outdoors and have their coffee and lunch breaks. Even if it rains: a raincloth under the pergola can then be rolled out.
